Who wants to be a millionaire anyway?

There's a weird thing our brain does when things aren't tangible

It values them less

Example: I was watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire recently

Contestant was flying - £125k guaranteed and all of his lifelines left

Fast forward he's at the £1m question and used all the lifelines, doesn't know the answer

Choices are: leave with £500k or guess and have a 25% chance of £1m or 75% chance of £125k

If the money was piled in front of him I'm almost certain you take the £500m and enjoy it

However, it wasn't and his brain didn't rationalise the decision

He guessed and lost £375k

As a practitioner working mainly remotely, it got me thinking

I need to be providing something tangible to allow my clients to feel value from me

This is extremely important and something all remote coaches should consider

Or your clients might gamble on going it alone and miss the results they desire
